SEEKING PARTICIPANTS FOR DOCUMENTARY
We are taking expressions of interest from people who are interested in learning to meditate for free in exchange for sharing their journey on film.
Be Here Nowra is a community project investigating how meditation can help improve the health and well-being of individuals and our whole town. Our goal is to teach Nowra to meditate, and improve the collective happiness of the town we love.
We are creating a documentary about the film and partnering with the University of Wollongong to create research around the project. This includes filming the journey of individuals as they learn to meditate, and documenting any impact it has on their lives. Our aim is to show a broad cross-section of our beautiful Nowra community.
Meditation is a simple, natural, effortless technique and can have benefits for mental and physical health.
After submitting your application and having a chat with our team, if you are chosen to be one of the contributors to the documentary you will receive a free 4-day meditation course, and be welcomed to join our ongoing meditation community. You will also receive ongoing support and access to our twice weekly group meditations.
If you would like to be considered for the filming portion of the project and fit the following criteria:
